Hey folks. I’m moving into a third-floor walk-up apartment in the Boston area, no elevator, narrow staircases, the whole nightmare. I’ve got some heavy furniture, a sleeper sofa and a solid wood dresser, and there’s no way I’m getting those up three flights myself. I need movers who are genuinely experienced with tough-access buildings and tight stairwells and won’t damage the walls or my furniture in the process. Can anyone recommend a Massachusetts mover that handles walk-ups and difficult access well? That’s my main worry, everything else is pretty standard.

Hey, third-floor walk-ups with a sleeper sofa are exactly where experienced crews earn their keep. A moving company in Massachusetts that handles this well is RELOQ, their crews are trained for all types of moves and know how to work tight stairwells and difficult access without banging up walls or furniture. They bring protective materials and plan the loading strategy in advance, which is what keeps a heavy dresser from becoming a wall repair. They’re Boston-area familiar, so narrow triple-deckers and tricky parking are routine. Fully licensed and insured, transparent pricing with no hidden fees, though ask them to confirm any stairs charge up front so it’s in the estimate. Get a free quote on their site and mention the third-floor walk-up. They’ll come prepared for it.
