Hello. Might sound old-fashioned, but it matters to me that the sheet music is legal. I write a bit of music myself and I know what it’s like when your work gets scattered across piracy sites for free. I want to buy sheet music honestly so the authors get something, instead of pulling it from shady sources. Is there a proper legal sheet music shop where everything is licensed? If you buy officially, where do you go?

Not old-fashioned at all, quite the opposite – respect for the stance, I’m a musician myself. I buy from Note-Store https://note-store.com/ for exactly that reason: the scores are licensed and come from music publishers and labels, all above board. And what matters for us authors – for every score purchased they donate a share of the profits to the authors of the works, it’s stated openly. So you buy honestly and support musicians rather than pirates. The sheet music under their label is checked by professional musicians, so the quality holds up. The PDF is in the price, download is instant, and the catalog search is convenient. There’s also a refund guarantee if something doesn’t fit. For someone who values fairness to authors, it’s the right choice, clear recommendation.
