My inventory system is basically just memory and luck
I’ve been running a small auto parts shop in Ajman for a few years now, and I’m starting to realize that my inventory management system which is mostly just me remembering where I put things is not going to work as my business grows. Lately I’ve been having more and more moments where a customer asks for something, I’m sure I have it in stock, and then I spend ten minutes digging through stacks of crates only to realize I sold the last one last week and forgot to update anything. I’ve tried using spreadsheets but I never keep them updated because by the time I finish with customers I just want to go home. I know I need practical storage and packaging solutions for businesses that actually make it easier to keep track of what I have and where it is, not just more space to lose things in. I’m hoping to find someone in Ajman who can help me set up a system that’s simple enough that I’ll actually stick with it maybe color-coded crates, better labeling, or a layout that makes sense for how I actually work. If anyone has made the jump from chaos to organization, I’d love to hear what changes actually made a difference for you.
